The elemental composition of control and pathological adrenal tissues remains to be resolved. This study aimed provide an initial insight into the amounts micro- (Mn, Co, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Cd, Pb, U) macroelements (Na, K, Mg, Ca) in healthy tissue (HAT) adenomatous (AAT) samples collected from patients with adenoma (AA) using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) optical emission (ICP-OES). results were accompanied by a comparative determination same elements blood (HB) (AB) samples. is first that has provided in-depth knowledge baseline clinically important HAT Furthermore, this showed elementary changes AA patients. AATs had significantly higher Mn, Mg compared HATs. opposite obtained for AB samples, indicating benign masses could have ability withdraw these circulation.
